About Hong Kong Restaurant

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–8:45 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (260) 625-9956. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is hongkong9956.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

This place should be out if business. I have never had worse Chinese food in my life. It is bland, over starched/gluppy, and their protein portion is incredibly sparse, particularly for what they charge. Im telling you, they truly do not care what they serve and put no care or flavor in anything they send out. I've eaten here around a half dozen times because the place is done the street from me. I really can not believe this place is still around with how bad the food is at this place. Highly discourage anyone from ordering from here. Check out Han Dynasty on W. Jefferson instead. Response to owner reply: Yes, I gave your restaurant multiple tries as you are located down the street from home, and I wanted to like it and support a local business. Unfortunately, your food disappointed every time I ordered, so I finally gave up. I am writing my review, as I need to warn people of the experience and the dismal food they will receive from your restaurant. I can not understand how you continue to put so little care into what you serve to people. It's shameful that you are still open and sad that people settle for such subpar food. I won’t be back, and I do apologize for bein

Wow, the food at this restaurant was terrible. I ordered the orange chicken and the chicken and broccoli. First, I open the orange chicken and it was NOT real chicken; it was a spongy material. Second, the chicken and broccoli tasted bland. Now, I understand why this place received poor reviews. Lastly, the guy in the back kept spitting and making gross noises.

This is your basic take-out Chinese joint. They have exactly 1 table, but I've never seen anyone sitting there. My wife doesn't like the food all that much, but I think it's fine. 100% Chinese, but "adjusted" for the Indiana pallet. A typical takeout order takes 12 to 15 minutes to prepare, so we'll drop off the grandkids and place the order in my son's driveway. Plenty of time! Weekend orders around supper time might take 18-22 minutes. The (all Chinese) staff is always super friendly! They are closed on Tuesdays (usually). And they stop taking orders fairly early in the evening (7, 7:30pm?) Funny story. Fort Wayne is politically "blue". The night when DJT was elected the 2d time in '24, we tried to place an order, but they had run out of food! It seems that every Democrat in the area was seeking this particular variety of comfort food at the same time.

The place is a bit worrisome in terms of sanitary and (little flying) bugs. It is a typical Asian American restaurant with the set up. I was very surprised the chili oil was $0.5 per container as I have never been to a restaurant charging that. My friend was not smiling nor frowning, neutral, and the employees were very cold and uprupt. When I smiled and asked for a napkin, (I assume manager) the woman in charge was polite. Additionally, silverware is hidden. When I bought my food, the silverware was not inside. I am not sure if they forgot or this is to save money, but I had to grab a spoon. I wanted chopsticks, but it was in a bag. The black plastic spoons was a bit dusty. The tables have not been cleaned or in process so I am concerned the employees do not care, or expect customers to be unbothered and go to a different table. I love soup was very hot, freshly made. The tastes were really good, but not as strong as it could have been. I recommend the wonton soup, I will come back again. In summary, the food is great and the manager or owner is nice. The physical contortions and other employees and customer service was not.

Super good!! I have visited this location so many times and have never been disappointed. My food is always so hot. I recommend the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice or the chow mein! The price is very good for the massive amount of food you get.
